Will Huawei connect China and Chile?

One of Huawei's directors announced that Huawei Marine will take part in the planned tender for the China-Chile connection, the first fiber optic connection between South America and Asia. Huawei Marine is already laying the cable along the southern coast of Chile, in the Patagonia region. This investment is called Fiber Óptica Austral (FOA) and is to be put into service this year. At the request of the Chilean company Comunicación y Telefonía Rural (CTR), 2,800 km of undersea fiber will be laid. An important aspect of investment in this region is the Chilean cloud data center, a $ 100 million investment. As part of it, Huawei will offer a variety of data collection and processing services (e.g. banking or government data, such as tax and health data) and security systems for the police (including face recognition) for South American countries.

The planned China-Chile interconnection is marked in green.
Chile, until recently isolated from the underwater fiber optic infrastructure, is launching new connections again and again. In April, Google completed the Curie cable from Los Angeles to Valparaiso, and Angola Cables extends its South Atlantic cable system (SACS) from Fortaleza, Brazil to Argentina and Chile. A direct connection to China will improve the connectivity of all Latin America with Asia, thereby contributing to the development of business between companies from these regions.
Huawei is trusted by the Chilean authorities, despite being accused by the US of espionage. The concern found itself on the so-called blacklist of entities that need to obtain government approvals in Washington to buy US components and technologies. New devices cannot use Qualcom processors very popular in smartphones or use Google applications. According to the latest announcements, the Huawei Mate 30 smartphone will be deprived of Android and applications provided by Google. American companies are also not allowed to use telecommunications equipment that may threaten national security, and Chinese company devices have been recognized as such.

Injecting CCTV signals into SMATV antenna systems.

The conversion of baseband audio-video (A/V) signals into radio frequency (RF) channels is called modulation. This process allows for distributing the signals coming from all kinds of sources, such as computers, DVD/Blu-ray players, security cameras etc. through antenna systems. Nowadays, the device used for this purpose (modulator) is usually equipped with HDMI input(s). The output RF signal injected into the antenna system is available in the distribution network as additional TV channel (DVB-T multiplex) that can be received by any suitable television connected to the RF distribution network.
HDMI to DVB-T Encoder/Modulator (Full HD 1080p/60Hz) R86111 encodes and modulates Full HD (1920x1080-60p) signal provided to its HDMI input to RF signal in accordance with DVB-T standard (COFDM).
The output DVB-T multiplex contains one channel modulated by the source signal. This way the source signal from a DVR/NVR can be distributed to multiple televisions connected to the antenna system. It makes an attractive alternative to installations based on HDMI splitters and cables.

In the example above, the digital Signal R86111 modulator has beeen provided with Full HD video signal coming from the HDMI output of the DVR. The output RF signal in DVB-T standard is combined by the E2094 combiner with the terrestral TV and radio signals. The signals are received by the A2670, A0710, and A0221 antennas (of course, the antennas can be replaced by other models operating in FM, VHF, bands, depending on the local reception conditions). The outdoor antenna amplifier TERRA MA080L R82022 has three band inputs: FM (88-108 MHz), VHF (174-230 MHz), and UHF (470-790 MHz). Each path of the amplifier has individual gain adjustment, and the UHF path is equipped with LTE 800 filter. The MRP-508 R68508 multiswitch provides 12 VDC supply voltage option that has been activated (switched on) for powering the MA080L R82022 amplifier. The RI-2/1 F E2094 combiner passes the DC voltage to the amplifier.

Modern Wi-Fi network in a building.

The TP-Link EAP access points provide flexible and secure solutions for the implementation of wireless networks that are easy to install and manage. The APs can be easily mounted to walls or ceilings. WLAN configuration and management are simplified through centralized management software. TP Link EAP devices also provide captive portal and automatic RF management, making them ideal for high-density, demanding business environments, such as campuses, hotels, shopping malls, offices.
A convenient method of authentication for Wi-Fi guests provides captive portal. This method requires users to perform certain actions (such as viewing and agreeing to an acceptable use policy or entering a password) before network access is allowed. The required action must be verified by a server or customized database prepared by the administrator.
The TP-LINK EAP series consists of:

Smart lock function in the Signal Fire AI-8C fusion splicer.

Users of Signal Fire AI-8C L5870 fusion splicers have the option of creating software protection against unauthorized use. Using the dedicated application, it is possible to configure the splicer in such a way that its use is only possible after connecting it with the previously associated smartphone. Of course, the list of smartphones authorized to connect can have more than one item. Therefore, it is possible to implement a scenario in which several authorized employees of a given company are allowed to use the welder. It is possible to start the device without unlocking, but only the start screen will be displayed.

Signal Fire AI-8C L5870
If the owner lends the splicer to someone, it is possible to define locks based on the date or splice counter. In the first case, the splicer will operate during a defined period (defined by the start and end dates and times), so it is possible to assign the locks in any way, e.g. enabling the splicer only in the afternoon, or in the evening, or throughout the week, etc. In case of relying on the splice counter, the splicer will be blocked after the specified number of splices.

Deep learning in Hikvision video surveillance systems.

The DeepinView and DeepinMind algorithms currently provide the highest level of image analysis based on deep learning algorithms. They are modeled on the structure and operation of the human brain. Like in the brain, the process of learning builds connections between artificial neurons (programs) and creates a multi-layered artificial neural network. The algorithms independently analyze model photos and recordings, searching for common features and create appropriate connections. The so-called layers are responsible for detecting specific features. The more layers the algorithms have, the more accurate the analysis.
Among the available video analytics features, the most important functions are face detection and recognition, number plate identification (ANPR), people counting, line crossing, intrusion detection, detection of entry and exit to/from a zone (perimeter protection based on detection and classification of targets), people counting, man fall detection, scuffle detection, fire detection etc.

Surveillance video from IP cameras in antenna systems. The injection of the video information from IP CCTV cameras into an RF distribution network (a private or shared antenna system) requires application of intermediate devices – digital HDMI to DVB-T modulators (capable of transmission up to Full HD 1080p@60 Hz). The HDMI signal carrying the video information from one or a number of IP cameras is available at the monitor output of the IP NVR in the IP CCTV system. The signal is converted by the modulator into DVB-T or DVB-C channel. Typical applications require the use of a single-channel modulator, or sometimes multi-channel modulators (up to 4 channels)... >>>more
Video from the IP security cameras is provided to the N29918 switch and then the total IP stream enters the MI520 R81609 modulator. The output DVB-T signal along with DVB-T broadcasts received by the A2810 antenna is distributed in the antenna system through the R70608 multiswitch. The video from each camera is available in the system as a separate TV channel.
