Tests of a flying taxi.
Airbus company begins testing a flying, four-passenger taxi called CityAirbus, in a helicopter factory in Donauworth, southern Germany. The design resembling a large drone is equipped with eight Siemens engines (electric drive systems with a maximum power of 200 kW). The tests will mainly consist in short takeoffs and landings. Then the prototype will be making longer and longer flights. CityAirbus will be able to take off and land vertically, and maneuver in all directions.
The trial flights of CityAirbus will be conducted without a pilot, because the company focuses on full autonomy of the aircraft. Depending on the applicable law in a particular country, Airbus also considers the option of three passengers and a pilot. The main assumption is that the taxi can transport up to 4 passengers, at speed up to 120 km/h. The machines will initially fly on fixed routes. The American Boeing is also working on a prototype of unmanned flying taxi, which has already carried out the first tests. AirbusCity, according to producers, is expected to enter the market by 2023.
Broadband amplifiers in shared antenna systems.
Broadband amplifiers are necessary in shared antenna systems (MATV/CATV) to distribute antenna signals within passive networks. They compensate the attenuation of the distribution networks caused by passive components of the systems: splitters, taps, cables and antenna outlets. Loading lists of license plates to the DS-2CD4A26FWD-IZS/P camera.
The DS-2CD4A26FWD-IZS/P K17893 (2.8 - 12 mm) or K17894 (8 - 32 mm) camera, dedicated for license plate recognition, can be used for control (via the alarm output) of a boom gate to a housing development or other restricted area, without a need for a DVR.
In the case of the autonomous operation, it is necessary to import the list with "white" (allowed) and "black" (prohibited) license plates/vehicles. In the autonomic mode the list can have up to 2048 rows. Such a solution can automate the control of the access to the development. The installer/administrator can edit the list after logging on to the camera and going to the Configuration -> Road Traffic -> Blacklist & Whitelist submenu. The Export tab enables the user to export the current list (with *.xls extension) to a computer (to save it on a drive). It is possible to change and enter the suitable data in every three cells of each item (row) in the list:
- N.O. - ordinal number,
- Plate Num - vehicle license number,
- Group (0 - black list, 1 - white list).

After updating and saving the list, it is necessary to go again to the Configuration -> Road Traffic -> Blacklist & Whitelist submenu. The next step is to click the Browse button and indicate the location of the saved file, then click the Import button to transfer the file to the camera. The last step of the configuration procedure is to be made in the Configuration -> Road Traffic -> Detection Configuration menu (activation of license plate recognition, selection of the detection area, arrangement of a schedule, choice of the reaction to the appearance of a white-listed or a black-listed car - adequate state of the alarm output).

Fiber optic patch panels, unlike panels dedicated to the termination of coaxial or other cabling, have holes for fitting optical adapters during the installation of a system. The most common front panels include models with 12 and 24 openings.

Usually the number of holes is higher than the actual needs. Some installers decide to install adapters in all openings, despite the fact that some of them will not be used. The more economic and also more convenient solution from the perspective of future maintenance of the system is possible with the use of dedicated blank plugs. With this solution, the technician sees the active ports at the first sight.
Some installers leave unused holes empty. However, this means an easier way for dust and dirt to enter the system. The pollution increases the likelihood of deterioration of connection parameters during switching operations in the future.
